Subway

I woke up this morning and exchanged subway stories with my best friend. We all have them, some kind of infuriating  moment in which you wonder how is it I pay for this, not only the $3 to get in but all the tax dollars we fork out,  for what I describe as the most mediocre transit system in the world.

I know I'm not alone in this thought, how is it possible that a city with a population of 2,503,281, that we have an inferior subway system to Montreal, which has a population of 1,620,698.

Vs.

The best part is that our new mayor has chosen to add onto the subway system....in the suburbs!  What a dumb idea, we have bare bones transit in the city, so lets bring in more people.

Have you ever ridden the subway during rush hour? It's ridiculous. Minus 20 weather and the bus is too full to take you to the overly crowded subway which in turn only brings you 10 blocks from where you need to go, so you probably end up taking a taxi too.  What a farce, and then on the week they announce they want to raise the cost 10 cents, which let's be honest works out to an extra 25 cents most of the time,  some streetcar driver drags a mans body several blocks because he refuses to pay attention to the people madly waving at him; he probably thought they wanted on. I'm just sayin'
